40145 needs a bit of sprucing up prior to its attendance at Carnforth next Saturday.

It’s probably a bit short notice for Saturday and some may be on the deltic tour to Cardiff but are there any offers of help if we try to muster up a cleaning party for Sunday.

Times for the ‘Whistling Fellsman’ tour run by Compass Railtours and booked to be hauled by 40145 are now available here

The tour is now fully booked and there is a waiting list for cancellations.

The move involving 40145 taking back the various loco’s to the NRM,MRC,BH & SVR has been put back a week to the 15/07 also it will no longer go to the NRM as the Western will now be dropped off at Barrow Hill.

Compass tour to Carlisle on August 2nd now fully booked.

The Compass Railtour featuring 40145 from Stafford to Carlisle (out via the Cumbrian Coast back via the S&C) is now fully booked.

After the bad news of the tours to Skegness and Eastbourne this is some welcome good news for the CFPS. Tickets for this tour (for those who’ve booked) will be issued in due course.
